I was commissioned to design a repeat pattern for Blinds2Go’s children’s blinds collection, sold through their website. The finished design, Jungle Jiggle Denim Multi, features a lively maze of lions, tigers, giraffes, and palm trees in playful colours that bring energy to a child’s room.

The process began with hand-drawn sketches, where I focused on creating individual character illustrations with a sense of movement and charm. These were then carefully developed into a seamless step-repeat pattern with a half-drop, ensuring that the design flowed naturally without visible breaks or awkward spacing. After refining the layout, I worked through a number of colourways to explore different moods before finalising the vibrant version chosen for production.

This project required balancing creativity with technical design considerations, making sure the illustrations translated well across fabric, worked effectively at scale, and aligned with the needs of children’s interiors. It was also strategically developed to appeal to both children and parents, combining playful storytelling with commercial appeal.
