[ ABOUT ]
Hello! I’m Tansy – a creative based in the UK who uses visual storytelling to spark curiosity, celebrate the beauty of the natural world and encourage more mindful, sustainable ways of living.
I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Graphic Communication and Illustration from Loughborough University in 2021, and was hired there as an in-house Graphic & Digital Designer in 2022, alongside running my freelance business, Tansy Wright Visuals, since 2019.
In 2025, I received a HEIST Rising Star Award for my early-career impact in higher education marketing. The award recognised my role in pushing creative boundaries within the sector on a range of high-profile projects, particularly through my art direction on the University’s global reputation campaign, where I was responsible for advising senior stakeholders as well as delivering multi-channel outputs across social media, print and digital advertising, email, web and more.
“Tansy’s designs are innovative, distinctive and have obviously contributed to the overall success of the campaigns.” – HEIST Awards
Over the past few years, I’ve worked across a wide range of visual art forms, from art direction to illustration, graphic design, fine art, textiles, photography and videography. This versatility has allowed me to adapt to many different briefs as showcased across my website, producing a body of work that is bold, unique and tailored to its audience. Looking ahead, I want to focus more intentionally on projects that explore slow-living, environmental awareness and a sense of wonder for nature, while continuing to adapt my style to best serve the stories being told.
Much of my inspiration comes from my time spent outdoors and the stories we tell about how we live alongside the environment. My current project, Going Rogue, is giving a fresh direction to my practice. Launching in 2025, it brings together my love of travel with my passion for art – creating illustrated prints, stickers and a guide to responsible van life. I also specialise in creating social media content that highlights how time outside can nurture creativity, wellbeing and a deeper appreciation for the world around us.
Currently, I am studying for a master’s degree in Illustration from Falmouth University, where I’m developing my personal visual identity as an illustrator with the ambition of building work that builds stronger connections between people and the planet.
