[ ABOUT ]

Hello! I’m Tansy – a UK-based creative committed to connecting people and the planet through design and visual storytelling.

I graduated with a BA in Graphic Communication and Illustration from Loughborough University in 2021, and in 2022 joined the University as an in-house Graphic & Digital Designer, alongside running my freelance business, Tansy Wright Visuals, since 2019.

In 2025, I was honoured to win a HEIST Rising Star Award for early-career impact in higher education marketing. The award recognised my role in pushing creative boundaries within the sector on a range of high-profile projects, particularly through my art direction on the University’s global reputation campaign, where I was responsible for advising senior stakeholders as well as delivering multi-channel outputs across social media, print and digital advertising, email, web and more.

“It’s great to see graphic design recognised as a discipline that can help shape brand and comms. Tansy’s designs are innovative, distinctive and have obviously contributed to the overall success of the campaigns.” – HEIST Awards

Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of visual art forms, including art direction, graphic design, illustration, fine art, textiles, photography and videography. This versatility has allowed me to adapt to a variety of briefs as showcased across my website, producing work in many styles for a range of target audiences that is bold, unique and purpose-driven. Looking ahead, I am passionate about focusing more intentionally on projects that support meaningful causes, inspire positive change and educate about social or environmental issues.

Much of my creative perspective stems from time spent outdoors and observing how people live in harmony with the environment. My current project, Going Rogue, launching in 2026, combines travel and illustration through prints, stickers, and a guide to responsible van life. I also specialise in social media content that demonstrates how time outside can enhance creativity, wellbeing and a deeper appreciation for nature.

I am currently pursuing an MA in Illustration at Falmouth University, developing a distinct visual identity with the goal of producing work that builds awareness and engagement with the natural world. My experience in higher education and sustainability has reinforced my commitment to create with purpose – crafting visuals that go beyond aesthetics, champion ethical values and address environmental responsibility.
